Christina Haack Changes Last Name to Maiden Name After Josh Hall Divorce

The HGTV star, 41, has reverted to her maiden name, Haack, after previously using her married name, Hall, according to People. Christina's latest name change comes three months after her estranged husband filed for divorce in July.

A press release from Home and Garden Television announcing the season 2 premiere of her spinoff series, Christina in the Country also reflected the change, identifying her as Christina Haack on Tuesday, October 15.

This marked Christina's fifth name change following a split, as she has formerly gone by El Moussa, Anstead, Haack, Hall, and Haack again. Christina was married to ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa from 2009 to 2016 and they share two kids together -- Taylor and Brayden. She was married to second ex-husband Ant Anstead from 2018 to 2020 and they share one child, a son named Hudson.

Life & Style confirmed Christina's most recent breakup occurred in July, when Josh, 44, filed for divorce from the Flip or Flop star, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason. He listed their date of separation as one week prior on July 8. The following day, Christina also filed for divorce from the realtor, but listed their date of separation as July 7. It was during this filing that she also requested that the court restore her last name to Haack, her maiden name, according to legal documents obtained by Life & Style.

Josh broke his silence on his split from the mom of three a month later, calling it a "divorce he didn't ask for."

"I will not publicly badmouth anyone as people have families, friends and others who respect and love them. Unfortunately, the internet is forever," he wrote alongside a photo of himself posing next to his dog via Instagram on August 3. "We are real humans, this is our life and I am not here to entertain people I don't know with my private matters. Those details will be handled fairly behind closed doors with our respective counsels in due time. Those who know each of us, know who we are."

Meanwhile, Christina updated her followers on how she was doing post-breakup one week later, telling fans she would "never ever give away my peace again."

"I finally have my appetite back. I'm exercising again. My kids are happy and our house feels like home. Those poor kids adore me ... anyone who knows us for real knows this and that's what matters," she wrote via her Instagram Stories on August 9. "I've had some of my best nights with friends recently ... laughed more than I have in forever. Work is going so good it feels like a dream. I have a life coach."

The split only continues to play out publicly as the now-exes were set to star in the new HGTV home renovation competition show, The Flip Off. The show is reportedly still proceeding without Josh. Josh accused his ex of using "scorched-earth divorce tactics" and alleged that Christina was trying to remove him from the project amid their divorce, according court documents obtained by In Touch.
