A new era of women's basketball begins tonight on TNT with the debut of Unrivaled. The 3-on-3 women's basketball league tips off live in Miami, streaming on Max, and featuring the biggest names in the WNBA.
The six-team league will feature a total of 36 players with all games played at 850 seat capacity arena in Miami. Teams will play 14 games over the course of 8 weeks with TNT Sports presenting each contest. TNT will air games twice a week on Mondays and Fridays with truTV airing a broadcast on Saturdays.
Co-founded by WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, Unrivaled gives pro women's basketball players a chance to play stateside instead of going overseas during the offseason. The league's expected salary per play is $250,000, which is more than a maximum WNBA contract.
