One person is dead and three were injured in a head-on crash in Spartanburg County, South Carolina Highway Patrol said.Troopers said the crash happened Monday around 3:40 p.m. on Highway 417 near Chicken Foot Creek Road, about 6 miles north of Woodruff, South Carolina.According to troopers, a 2008 Buick Lucerne was traveling north on Highway 417 while a 2008 Kia Sportage SUV was heading south on the same road.The Kia crossed left of center and hit the Buick head-on, troopers said.Troopers said the driver of the Kia died.They also said a passenger in the Kia, plus the driver and the passenger in the Buick, were taken by emergency medical services to Spartanburg Regional for their injuries.The coroner has not released the name of the driver.Stay with WYFF News 4 as we learn more.
