Looking for things to do this holiday weekend? Here's a list of events happening in Northern California from Friday, Nov. 15, through Sunday, Nov. 17.
Hundreds of vendors will sell handmade arts and crafts this weekend at Cal Expo. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Wares for sale include wall art, sculptures, glasswork, metalwork, jewelry, clothing, specialty foods, photography, hand-turned wood, ceramics, holiday and home decor. Broadway International Festival
There will be live performances and multi-cultural vendors from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday on Broadway in Sacramento between 16th and 18th streets. Event hosted by Sheba Farms Foundation. Free admission. Learn more.
Girl Gang Craft Holiday Market
More than 100 "fem-owned" small businesses will sell from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Library Galleria inside the Sacramento Central Library. There will be cocktails food, art, ceramics, jewelry, apparel and more. Free admission. Learn more.
Handblown Glass Ornament Extravaganza
Thousands of handblown glass ornaments will dangle from 30 handcrafted wooden trees from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at 2BGlass in Cameron Park. Also part of the holiday display is glass candy canes, icicles, baubles, donuts, fortune cookies, trees, snow people and more. Drink hot chocolate or coffee from Wisegal Coffee and watch glassblowing demonstrations every half hour. Learn more.
There will be three stages with more than 40 music acts, comedy and pro wrestling, along with food and drinks from 40 vendors, from 2-11 p.m. at La Vaca En Brasas in Stockton. Tickets are $21. Learn more.
Trout Bout
San Joaquin County Parks and Recreation and the Delta Fly Fishers will host its annual Trout Bout from 6:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Oak Grove Regional Park in Stockton. More than 2,00o lbs. of trout will be planted before the tournament in the 10-acre lake. Prizes will be awarded. Kids aged 15 and under are free, but a $5 fishing permit fee and a valid California fishing license are required for anyone aged 16 or older. Parking is $6. Five trout limit.
