Another International Break In The Books - Inter Milan Begin Four Massive Months In Serie A, Coppa Italia & Champions League

With another international break done, Inter Milan are ready for four massive months in Serie A, the Coppa Italia, and the Champions League.

This is highlighted in today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Over the first few months of the season, Inter's campaign has been regularly been disrupted by international breaks.

There have been breaks in September, October, and November in which Inter have put their efforts domestically and in Europe on pause for the players to go off with their national sides.

Inter have played twelve matches in Serie A, where they're locked in a six-team title race.

And in Europe, the Nerazzurri have been in action four times. They've given themselves a big foothold in their efforts to book a place in the round of sixteen.

But these matches have come in stretches of a few weeks at a time between the international breaks.

Starting this afternoon against Hellas Verona, however, Inter have four months without any international break interruptions.

Inter will be playing more or less twice per week until March.

The Nerazzurri will have seventeen matches in Serie A. These will naturally constitute a big chunk of the title race with Napoli, Atalanta, Fiorentina, Lazio, Juventus, and AC Milan.

And then, Inter will also play four more matches in the Champions League "league phase."

And that's not all. Inter will also kick off their Coppa Italia campaign against Udinese next month.

And then in January will come the Supercoppa Italiana. Inter will face Atalanta in the semifinals of that competition - and then, potentially, either Juventus or AC Milan in the final.

And the Nerazzurri will have to change their approach for all of this.

No longer are Inter playing their matches in bursts of three weeks and then working around international breaks.

Now, it is just week in and week out for Inter until the spring.
