Remember Elisabeth Finch, the writer for Grey's Anatomy whose lies were detailed in Peacock's Anatomy of Lies. She's the writer who faked cancer and wrote about having an abortion while undergoing chemotherapy and being sexually assaulted by her brother, among many other claims.
None of that was true, although she often worked her fake trauma into Grey's Anatomy storylines and gaslit and manipulated the wife she met in rehab recovering from the PTSD she didn't have from the trauma she didn't suffer from not having a friend who was killed in the Tree of Life synagogue mass shooting, as she lied.
For some insane reason, Finch is using the Los Angeles wildfires to solicit relief donations to her personal Venmo account. She claims the funds were for evacuees in need of basic supplies for their pets. "This is just me. Boots on the ground. It was challenging enough getting dog food while evacuated and I was at a safe place. So this is for people who have virtually nothing and have pets with basic needs."
Ummm.
Grey's Anatomy co-executive producer Jamie Denbo, however, was not having it. She took to Instagram to call out Finch. "This person is a SCAMMER and a LIAR," she wrote. "Unless you want to send her donations of 69 cents for her 'cancer treatment' (she doesn't have cancer) or perhaps 'in memory of her late brother' (he's alive) or anything else she has lied about (everything) DO NOT DONATE to Elisabeth Finch!!!"
Finch made the request on Facebook, which no longer has a vested interest in curbing scammers or grifters or misinformation (and, ironically, after writing about why we're staying on Facebook earlier this week, we have nevertheless suspended posting on all of our Meta accounts. Follow the site or the writers Bluesky!)
