American Airlines in 2025 will add nine destinations from Chicago O'Hare and expand airport capacity with larger aircraft.
New service beginning in June includes flights to Bismarck, N.D.; Boise, Idaho; Colorado Springs; Spokane, Wash.; Hyannis, Mass.; and Halifax, Nova Scotia. Each will operate with Embraer 175 aircraft, except the Colorado Springs service, which will use a Bombardier CRJ700.
Flights will launch March 30 from Chicago to Madrid and on May 6 to Naples, Italy. Those routes will operate with Boeing 787-8 aircraft.
Beginning Oct. 26, American will add service between Chicago and Honolulu using Boeing 787-8 aircraft.
Customers will have the option to travel in a premium cabin on every flight from O'Hare this summer, American said. Starting in June, American will offer all service from O'Hare on larger, dual-class aircraft. American says it will offer 40% more premium seats from O'Hare compared to last summer.
