BELOVED LA news anchor Chauncy Glover has died aged just 39.
Leading the tributes to the star following his sad death was the journalist's "work wife", Mayra Moreno.
On November 5, 2024, it was revealed that Chauncy Glover had died unexpectedly.
No other details about his death have been revealed at this time.
Chancy enjoyed an incredible career as a TV journalist, which saw him scoop three Emmys.
The pair had a close bond, which showed during their time together as co-anchors.
When Chauncy announced he was leaving ABC13 in August 2023, he said of Mayra: "You have been my rock and my therapist at times.
"We've laughed and prayed and cried together and you have been the best work wife anyone could ask for."
When Mayra got engaged for real in 2016, Chauncy tweeted: "SHE SAID YES! My work wife is becoming a REAL wife! Congrats @ABC13Mayra He put a ring on it!
Following the news of Chauncy's sad death, Mayra posted a slew of sweet snaps of their time working together.
She wrote next to them: "An unexpected loss. My heart is broken."
After Chauncy's death was announced, his family shared a heartbreaking statement.
They penned: "We, Sherry and Robert Glover, along with Chauncy's beloved family, are devastated by the unimaginable loss of our beloved Chauncy.
"He was more than a son and brother - he was a beacon of light in our lives and a true hero to his community.
"His talent, warmth, and vision left an imprint on everyone who knew him, and the world is dimmer without him."
Fans also shared their own emotional tributes to the much-loved star.
This fan wrote: "You will be greatly missed. Thank you for your kindness."
"Houston TX was sad the day you announced you were leaving for LA but knew you'd be a blessing to them as you were to us," another shared.
