Lillian Bartholomew is a Ph.D. student at Pardee RAND Graduate School and an assistant policy researcher at RAND. She holds a bachelor's degree in economics and applied mathematics, as well as a master's in data science. With extensive experience in large-scale randomized control trials and a strong command of various econometric methods, she has successfully integrated machine learning techniques -- including signal processing and natural language processing -- into traditional econometric frameworks. Proficient in STATA, Python, and R, she also possesses familiarity with SQL, SAS, and Tableau.
For the past two years, Bartholomew has served as a pre-doctoral fellow in economics, honing skills such as project proposal development for industry partners, conducting thorough literature reviews, and reviewing and analyzing code from prior research. She has created and managed multiple data pipelines across different statistical software platforms, demonstrating a commitment to innovative methodologies.
Her policy interests are broad and dynamic, reflecting a passion for learning and applying new techniques in the field. With a keen enthusiasm for exploring cutting-edge methodologies, she is dedicated to leveraging data science and economics to inform policy and drive impactful research.
