The Washington Commanders are in the thick of "Dallas Week" as Dan Quinn takes on his former team, the Cowboys, for this Week 12 NFC East showdown.
All week, there has been a focus on Quinn and his roots back to the Cowboys and other players who will be coming up against their former employer for the first time.
Granted, it was always going to be a spicy matchup, and now, with Quinn and a host of former Cowboys in Washington's line-up, there's another layer to this.
But Quinn has tried to slip something past us here. Every Friday, Quinn announces three captains for the Sunday game, one from offense, defense, and special teams. This week, if you look closely, you'll notice the mind game Quinn is playing.
"The captains in this game, on offense, it'll be [Tyler] Biadasz, we thought just the tone setter the line of scrimmage," Quinn said. "Defensively will be Dante Fowler, man's brought a lot of energy to our group and last one is on special teams will be Noah I [Igbinoghene], and all three of these guys have really had different ways they've made their impact with their teammates and on the team."
We see what you did there, Dan.
In a game where the Commanders are playing the Cowboys, is it a coincidence that Quinn has named all three players who were members of Dallas last season?
We don't think so.

This adds another interesting layer to the Commanders game against the Cowboys, with Quinn naming three ex-Dallas players as team captains.
So, while Quinn has already stated this week that there's no extra importance on this game given its his first matchup against the Cowboys, he is clearly having fun this week, and naming three ex-Cowboys players as team captains is a juicy way to go.
