Some of the best coaches in NFL history have run a no-nonsense approach to their teams. Other greats have open communication with their players and run a well-developed culture.
While Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has been ridiculed for his on-field antics or lack of positive impact on the team, there's one thing that separates him with other top coaches around the league.
His ability to take suggestions from players and use them to the team's advantage.
During the Eagles' three-game winning streak, some of the top players on offense spoke to Sirianni to run the ball more, and execute more plays under center.
Sirianni took those ideas to heart, and the Eagles have blown out their last two opponents.
"We talk about everything together. We go through our processes together. Same thing, I won't say this percentage or that percentage or anything like that, but you try to evaluate as a coach what your players do well," Sirianni explained. "You do that based on practice. You do that based on games, and what you're being successful at, and what you're not being successful at. You do that also by talking to the players. 'How do you feel about this? How do you feel about that?' It's a both/and, and we're all in this together.
"We win games together; we lose games together. We get to the best answers together. Again, it's just why it's one of the greatest team sports there is."
Sirianni is 39-19 as a head coach in this league over the last three seasons. The Birds are 5-2 in 2024 and seem to be hitting their stride as an organization.

He won't get credit for it, but Sirianni's ability to take ideas from his players to heart is the reason why the Eagles have been so successful, and why the head coach is perfect for this city.
