DeAndre Jordan gave some insight into Nikola Jokić's personality as he recently revealed the former NBA MVP's favorite song: 50 Cent's "Many Men."
On Fan Duel's flagship NBA show, Run it Back, Jordan recalled moments during the season when Jokić would request a song from their unofficial Denver Nugget's locker room DJ, small forward Payton Watson. While most fans would expect the Serbian player to exercise his nationalism by picking something from his motherland, but Jordan stated that's sometimes not the case.
"Peyton Watson is our locker room, DJ, so anytime Nikola requests a song, if it's not like Serbian folk music, it is 'Many Men' by 50 Cent," Jordan told the Fan Duel production. "He knows the words from start to finish... That's his song, man, he loves it."
The program's hosts then asked the NBA All-Star whether or not Jokić had seen the movie or heard the whole Get Rich or Die Tryin' album, Jordan stated that he was unsure but that "if he hasn't I'm going to get it for him on VHS."'
Despite how random this fun fact is, Jokić isn't the only person who seems to be finding new uses for the classic song. When President-elect Donald Trump was almost assassinated in July 2024, which left two people dead, including the shooter, and two others besides Trump injured, 50 Cent's "Many Men" saw a major increase in streams.
Billboard reported at the time that "Many Men" earned over 2.2 million U.S. on-demand audio streams from July 13-15 -- a 250% jump from the previous Saturday-to-Monday period -- with various MAGA fan cams using it to show Trump's resilience. Donald Trump even tried to capitalize on the song's momentum, inviting 50 to perform at one of his campaign rallies.
"Yeah. They offered me $3 million!" the G-Unit leader told The Breakfast Club. "I didn't even go far," he said, before adding that he chooses to distance himself from anything regarding politics.
