TEXARKANA -- Kahim Webster, a suspect in the murder of a minor at River Run Apartments, has been arrested in the Dallas area by U.S. marshals.

Webster was arrested on a first-degree murder charge, according to the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department.

The department had previously identified Webster as the suspect in the murder of a minor at the apartments on Oct. 22. When detectives were unable to locate Webster quickly, the department asked the U.S. Marshals' fugitive task force for assistance. The warrant-hunters tracked Webster to the Dallas area and apprehended him Thursday, according to a news release from Texarkana police.

"The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department thanks the US Marshals Service for their help and dedication in bringing Webster to justice. We hope his arrest can bring closure to the friends and family of the victim," the news release stated.
