Bureau of Transportation statistics don't lie -- here are the worst airports to travel through this holiday.

Traveling around the holidays is a nightmare, no matter what. I've never met a single person in my entire life who said: "Yeah, actually traveling back from my parents' house was really easy and enjoyable after Christmas." It is possible no one on Earth has ever uttered that sentence. However, there are ways to avoid headaches, such as planning ahead and maybe saying a few prayers.

A new report from Locals Insider analyzed data from the Bureau of Transportation, focusing on the largest 50 airports. Using the data, the experts ranked the 10 worst airports to travel through this holiday based on cancellation and delay data. The top ten worst airports had a mix of the most cancellations and delays, so we'll lay out the ten worst, and then dive into the ten airports with the most cancellations.

Here are the 10 worst airports to travel through the holidays, according to Locals Insider's analysis of the data.

1. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, 29.2%

2. Orlando International Airport, 25.8%

3. Chicago Midway International Airport, 25.2%

4. Southwest Florida International Airport, 23.3%

5. San Francisco International Airport, 23.1%

6. Tampa International Airport, 22.9%

7. Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, 22.4%

8. William P Hobby Airport, 22.0%

9. Logan International Airport, 21.5%

10. Kansas City International Airport, 21.4%
