Heading into this weekend's divisional round of the NFL playoffs, there are 17 players with Utah ties on the rosters of teams who have advanced this far in the postseason.
There are six former University of Utah players to lead all local colleges, while there are five from BYU, two from Weber State and one from Utah State.
Orem High is also represented by two former Tigers, while East, Bingham, Desert Hills and Timpview all have an alumni still in the playoffs.
Who will advance to conference championship week, which is one step away from the Super Bowl?
One of the most intriguing Utah players to watch will be former BYU and Orem High wide receiver Puka Nacua, who is headed with the Los Angeles Rams into a cold, snowy environment to face the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday (1 p.m. MST, NBC).
There's a 95% chance of snow in the current weather forecast. How could that impact the matchup?
Nacua is confident in his team's ability to be prepared for whatever weather conditions they'll be facing.
In meeting with reporters this week, he recalled the Rams' Week 16 win at the New York Jets when asked about some of the worst conditions he's played in.
While it didn't snow that day, it was cold and "I don't think I had feeling in my feet until halftime," Nacua said.
He added, "They have the heat warmers and stuff that they were putting their seven stud in (the cleats). We'll be ready to run the ball and do whatever needs (to be done) to win."
The Rams are also weighing the gravity of playing for the city amid the devastating wildfires that have impacted the Los Angeles community.
"It wasn't something that just kind disappeared overnight, a lot of people are still being affected (by the wildfires), and we're still trying to make sure that the efforts from our organization and the people of Los Angeles are being applied to everything," Nacua said.
Utah impact: Outside of former Bingham High tight end Dalton Schultz, players with Utah ties aren't likely to have a big impact on this game.
Schultz had two catches for 23 yards in the Texans' wild-card win over the Los Angeles Chargers and could help determine how Houston does on a big stage.
The biggest Utah impact here is Chiefs coach Andy Reid and several members of his coaching staff who have ties to the Beehive State.
Reid is trying to become the first NFL head coach to win three straight Super Bowls.
Utah impact: There are multiple players with Utah ties who could play a key role in Detroit.
First-team All-Pro right tackle Penei Sewell, who prepped at Desert Hills High, is a mainstay on the Detroit offensive line and is one of the best young offensive lineman in the game. He's also been known to be involved in trick plays in Dan Campbell's scheme.
Former Utah wide receiver Tim Patrick is playing his first season for the Lions, and he had 33 catches for 394 yards and three touchdowns during the regular season in a complementary role.
For Washington, former Utah State linebacker Bobby Wagner is having yet another outstanding season. In the wild-card round, Wagner came up with a key fumble recovery in the fourth quarter that led to the go-ahead touchdown for the Commanders, as they knocked off Tampa Bay.
Wagner was limited in practice this week with an ankle injury, but he's expected to play the divisional round matchup against Detroit.
Utah impact: Former BYU wide receiver Puka Nacua is the lone Utah tie who will be competing in this game, but the second-year pro has proven to be a captivating follow throughout his career thus far.
Nacua plays an integral role in the Rams' offense and is expected to do so again on Sunday, after catching five passes for 44 yards and adding a 7-yard run in Los Angeles' wild-card win over Minnesota.
Will Nacua put up better numbers against Philadelphia?
Former Utah and Timpview High star Britain Covey is still on injured reserve and won't be available, though if the Eagles advance, his season may not be over. He would be eligible to return for the NFC championship.
Utah impact: There are several Utah ties who could hear their name called during this game.
The most likely to make a big impact are former Utah tight end Dalton Kincaid and former Weber State cornerback Taron Johnson for the Bills, as well as former BYU linebacker Kyle Van Noy for the Ravens.
Johnson is a veteran playmaker on the Buffalo defense and has made key plays in the past for the Bills in the postseason.
Kincaid is a young offensive standout for Buffalo and had three catches for 47 yards in the Bills' wild-card win over Denver.
Van Noy had a personal-best 12.5 sacks during the regular season and helps anchor a Ravens defense that has been disruptive for many an opponent this season.
