Aurora borealis enthusiasts in Wisconsin may get another chance to see the phenomenon Thursday and Friday night, nearly a week after the lights once again made a dazzling appearance across the state.

When could I see the northern lights in Wisconsin?
Parts of the northern U.S. -- including Wisconsin -- will have a chance to see the northern lights Thursday and Friday night, according to a forecast from the NOAA's Space Prediction Weather Center.
The viewline for the lights in northern Wisconsin isn't as intense on Thursday as it is on Friday, so it's likely sky gazers will have a better chance of catching the phenomenon heading into the weekend.

On top of searching the night sky for the lights around midnight, the NOAA also says those hoping to get a glimpse of a display should head away from city lights and towards high vantage points.
Hunter's supermoon also making an appearance Thursday:
On top of the chance to see the northern lights Thursday, October's hunter's supermoon will also be illuminating the night sky -- though full moons have the potential to diminish the lights' brightness, per the NOAA. The supermoon will be visible through Friday morning, according to NASA.
