PG&E warns of potential public safety power shutoffs this week. Here's where

PG&E announced that from Thursday through Saturday, they will shut off power for some customers throughout the state. Friday and Saturday could also see a Public Safety Power Shutdown (PSPS) event for the Central Coast. This is to mitigate wildfire risk on days that are perceived to have wildfire conditions. Here is a list of the potentially affected counties:Thursday, Oct. 17:Alameda, Colusa, Contra Costa, Glenn, Lake, Mendocino, Napa, Santa Clara, Shasta, Solano, Sonoma, Tehama, YoloFriday, Oct. 18:Alameda, Butte, Colusa, Contra Costa, Fresno, Glenn, Lake, Madera, Mariposa, Mendocino, Merced, Monterey, Napa, Plumas, San Benito, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Shasta, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Tehama, YoloSaturday, Oct. 19:Alameda, Butte, Colusa, Contra Costa, Fresno, Glenn, Lake, Madera, Mariposa, Mendocino, Merced, Monterey, Napa, Plumas, San Benito, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Shasta, Solano, Stanislaus, Tehama, Yolo PG&E also specified that they are planning Public Safety Power Shutoffs in the areas of Jolon, Lockwood and Fort Hunter Liggett. Resource Centers These centers will be open on days that a PSPS occurs from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. These will include charging stations for wifi, electronic devices, and medical equipment and other services.
