Miller began her health care legal career in 1985. At that time, she was the founding executive director of a task force convened by then-New York State Gov. Mario Cuomo that aimed to develop state laws and policy on ethical issues in medicine, such as end-of-life care.

In a statement, Miller said, "I look forward to drawing on my significant expertise ranging from big picture initiatives to concrete operational issues to help our clients navigate the challenges they face and thrive in today's complex health care environment. I am thrilled to assist clients as they lay the foundation to attain their business and operational goals."
